About the project: Jasmine Davis is a member of the supervillain team, the Conquerors, led by Professor Brainstorm, who plots his revenge after the team’s defeat against the superhero Doctor Fusion. Jasmine, not having much of a social life outside of supervillainy, goes to a speed dating event for metahumans. By what she believes to be chance, she runs into one of Doctor Fusion’s alter egos, Winter Welhaven, are undercover to learn Professor Brainstorm’s next plot. As the night goes on, the pair form a genuine connection. At night’s end, Jasmine drugs Winter and takes him back to the Conquerors HQ. The Professor uses a laser to steal Winter’s powers. Unable to bring herself to kill Winter talks with him at super speed, learning that Winter’s clone, Franklin, is on his way to rescue him. After a heart-to-heart, agree to go on a real date if they survive. Just as Brainstorm is about to gain Doctor Fusion’s powers, Franklin busts in and fuses with Winter, defeating the Conquerors, allowing Jasmine to escape before the police arrive. about the power of love. Principal. Black preferred. Jasmine is a somewhat reluctant supervillain, struggling with depression and clinical loneliness. She is cold, sarcastic, and socially awkward, but is desperate to find a genuine human connection. Her life is so devoted to Madam Mayhem, she doesn’t know who she is outside the costume, never being able to share her true self with anyone, even her “friends”, the Conquerors.
(Lead) Black preferred. Winter is timid and kind, always trying to see the best in people, despite how miserable his entire life has been. However, when push comes to shove, he’ll stand up for himself. His clone, Franklin, is everything Winter is not. Intelligent and confident, but lacking in empathy and morals, he does whatever it takes to get his way. While he cares little for humanity, he’s always there to get Winter out of a jam.
The Professor is an insane, sad man-child with delusions of grandeur. Despite his brilliance, he is astoundingly short-sighted, wasting his talents in his pursuit of Doctor Fusion’s destruction and the world. Like Jasmine and Winter, he too is lonely, and acts as a warning of what Jasmine could become. If she doesn’t change her ways.
Supporting. Aspiring hip-hop artist Jasmine is paired with someone during speed dating who is out of touch with reality and his own talent. Trying way too hard to be cool.
