About the project: A brilliant young chemist struggling to take care of his agoraphobic, addicted mother manufactures illicit eye-drop drugs. But when he partners with a ruthless nightclub boss and his streetwise confidante, he’s forced to choose between survival, love, and the corruption that could threaten his life. (Lead). The protagonist, a gifted young chemist caring for his addicted mother while manufacturing illicit eye-drop drugs. Vulnerable yet resourceful, teetering between innocence and corruption.
(Supporting). Once vibrant, now consumed by agoraphobia, addiction, and regret. Frail, volatile, and manipulative, Jean’s moments of maternal love are fleeting and often manipulative. She embodies a cycle of emotional abuse. She is both vulnerable and manipulative, a toxic presence in her son’s life.
(Supporting). A sharp, streetwise nightclub employee who uses charm and toughness to survive. Eva longs for escape but knows the risk; Xae doesn’t, and she feels responsible for his nosedive into the underworld that she lives in.
(Supporting). A powerful nightclub owner with a cruel edge. Sean exudes wealth, corruption, and control. Manipulative and domineering, he thrives on exploitation and uses intimidation to maintain power. The embodiment of excess and danger.
(Supporting). Sean’s loyal security guard. He is a physically intimidating presence, someone who enforces Sean’s control.
Non-speaking, close friends of Sean, the club owner. Needed for a half day of shoot.
