The Snake is more than a creature — it is despair itself. Its voice is smooth yet menacing, a mixture of seduction and doom. Tempting and mocking the two mice inside, the voice needs to be full of bass and gravitas, as most of the film takes place in the Snake's throat and lungs. Voice type: deep, resonant, commanding. Think Keith David (Coraline, Princess and the Frog) or James Earl Jones (Star Wars, The Lion King).
