Actors for "It’s A Wonderful Life" a Live Radio Onstage Play
"It’s A Wonderful Life" a live radio onstage play seeking cast. Please see more info below. About the project: SYNOPSIS: This is a very faithful radio adaptation of the 1946 Frank Capra classic film about dreams, sacrifice, and redemption in small town America. It’s a laughter-inducing and tear-jerker of a show with live sound effects and is underscored using 1940s radio-theater organ and piano. Additional info: Plan to arrive no later than 5:30 pm. Readings from the script. CAST OVERVIEW: Flexible – Approximately 11 (7 men and 4 women) who will play 37 characters (9 female and 28 male characters), plus 2 live sound effects artists. George and Mary Bailey will not double. The ability to change your voice and handle accents (such as Italian) in order to differentiate your characters is important. Actors will be wearing 1940s-style costumes. What: Bring a recent photo and theatrical résumé. Be prepared to list any definite or possible conflicts on your audition form from October 13 through the run of the play November 28-December 14, 2025. Performance Dates: November 28-December 14, 2025. Specific dates are: 10 performances over 3 weekends: November 28-29, December 4-7 and 11-14. Most rehearsals are scheduled Mon-Fri at 7 p.m. with Saturday or Sunday rehearsals scheduled only if needed to accommodate week-night conflicts. 1st tech is the afternoon/early evening of Sunday, November 23.
