"A Day In The Death of Francis Ledwidge" Play Needs Talent
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are seeking two male Irish actors for "A Day In The Death of Francis Ledwidge" show. More details are below. About the show: "A Day In The Death" is - at its heart - a love story about the Irish Poet Francis Ledwidge who perished during the first world war. Francis' extraordinary friendship with Lord Dunsany is the reason his poetry is accessible to us today, as Lord Dunsany beseeched Ledwidge to send him poetry from the trenches. This beautiful play is written entirely in rhyming couplets, resonant of the love story within. “Words flow freely and poems appear as if by magic, so that I'm a mere observer, watching as if from above the life transforming alchemy of love.” Rate: Non-Union. Actors will receive an $80.00 honorarium for the following: 3 hours of rehearsal time 2 hour call on the Show Date. Call time is at 8pm. The show starts at 8:30pm and runs approximately 75 minutes. Additional information: The ideal candidates are actors who were born in Ireland and currently reside in Vancouver or are visiting from Ireland. Production Dates: Sun, Nov 9th at 8:30pm.
