Seeking talent for "Away" film. More details are below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Dani, in her sixties, meets her estranged ex-husband Henry for a late night dinner. Their reunion stirs echoes of the family they once were, and the future they never became. Henry presses to reclaim what was lost, but his words drift between tenderness and disorientation, while Dani seems to know every line before he speaks it. Old wounds surface in unexpected ways, and as past and present blur, both are left to confront whether love can endure the shadows of memory—or if it’s already too late. Dani is nurturing and supportive to a fault--especially when considering how hard she tried to make her relationship work with Henry. She eventually found the strength to leave Henry, many years ago, but always wished he had been there for her. She knows meeting with him will be difficult, but a part of her wants to hold onto something that is shared between them.
Henry was a bit of a rockstar journalist back in the day. Covering big stories, traveling the world, and chasing women. He never could settle down, even when he had a daughter of his own, and eventually left his family for his mistress. Now struggling with his memory, he longs to return to a place that he can't grasp and falls into his same old patterns.
An overly cheery health care worker that tends helps calm Henry and get him into a shuttle. Despite his cheery nature, you get the impression that this individual can be serious and intimidating to those who pose the risk of violence.
Hardened by the years, the nurse has seen it all. She provides guidance to Dani and offers her a clean break from Henry. She has a soft spot for Dani. She is aware that Henry is reopening old wounds and not being particularly loyal to Dani.
A server that brings items to the table and occasionally interrupts the conversation. *This role has little dialogue
