About the project: 18-year-old Anja has grown up in the shadow of her younger brother Finn’s Tourette’s, ADHD, and OCD. Simple rituals like family dinners or brushing teeth can erupt into chaos as Finn’s tics grow into violent meltdowns. Anja sacrifices her own needs to keep peace at home, carrying guilt for her own suffering when she believes only Finn has the right to. As her parents prepare to send Finn back to a clinic, Anja finally refuses to obey his rituals, defying him for the first time. She discovers her role is not to rescue her brother, but to stay beside him — finding her own right to be hurt and to heal. Rate: Non-paid. credit, meals (catering provided), and insurance ($10 coverage) included.
