Performers Needed for Theatre Audition "Unnecessary Farce"
Male and female singers are needed for the upcoming theatre show "Unnecessary Farce". See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Synopsis: Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go. In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room next door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. Of course, there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room, who’s being videotaped, who’s taken the money, who’s hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. Callbacks (if needed) – November 12, 2025 – 7-10PM First Rehearsal: November 24, 2025 Tech/Dress: January 10-14, 2026 Performances: January 15-February 1, 2026 On the night of your audition, please arrive at 15 minutes before your scheduled slot. Be prepared to stay until 10PM if asked. Please be sure to list all conflicts on your audition form. If you have a resume and/or headshot, please bring them to the audition. You must be available for EVERY technical rehearsal (Friday before Opening through Preview Night) and EVERY performance to be cast in this show. An accountant with a professional demeanor… at first. As things unravel, so does her composure. She’s clever, determined, and surprisingly daring.
