About the project: When a compassionate caseworker receives a desperate call from his estranged sister-in-law, trapped in an abusive relationship, he’s pulled into a nightmarish spiral where reality fractures and a monstrous presence is revealed to be the source of her torment. Lead. A dedicated, empathetic caseworker who supports children with autism. He’s compassionate and professional, but when his past collides with a chilling call for help, his calm exterior begins to unravel. Actor should be able to portray both warmth and increasing desperation.
Lead. A fragile yet fiery woman caught in the grip of a toxic and abusive relationship. Her emotions swing from vulnerability to rage, love to terror. Must be comfortable portraying intense emotional states and working with special effects/makeup.
Supporting. Freddie’s co-worker. Grounded, professional, and no-nonsense, but genuinely cares about Freddie and the kids they serve. Provides moments of reality and balance against Freddie’s descent.
Creature Role. Niki’s monstrous “lover.” A physically demanding performance requiring strong body movement skills (experience with creature acting, stunts, or physical theater a plus). Will perform in prosthetic or practical FX.
(2 Roles, Supporting). Masked, silent figures who abduct Freddie. Require strong physical presence. Limited dialogue but physically expressive.
