Lead. The larger-than-life writer and director who is having an affair with the star of his once notable superhero movie franchise. Obsessed with his image and wildly insecure, Jamie is a scatterbrained megalomaniac with the heart of a room-temperature bowel movement.
Supporting. The jaded wife of Jamie Van Hamn and producer overseeing Jamie’s superhero franchise. Usually stuck with babysitting Jamie and managing his public image, she decides to let him destroy himself after she catches him in an affair.
Supporting. The sensitive and rugged Has-been star of a superhero movie series. Clinging to his declining, short-lived career is the least of his worries when his homosexual affair with the director of his movie, Jamie Van Hamn, is discovered.
