Description:

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking cast and extras for a short film "American Countess". More details are below. About the project: "American Countess" is an intimate, character-driven short about identity, aging, and the quiet performances we create to survive. It follows Elsa, a woman in her 50s who lives alone, dressing in faded finery and reciting royal lines from old films. She was born into a family of European nobility, but the world she inherited was already long gone — a title without a kingdom, a legacy without wealth. She never experienced that aristocratic life herself, but she’s built her identity around it — a curated, romantic version of who she might’ve been. When she crosses paths with Daniel, a kind but practical handyman, her carefully preserved illusions begin to falter. This is a story about loneliness, pride, and the fragile rituals we use to hold ourselves together. It’s small in scope but emotionally rich — a quiet two-hander about what happens when someone finally sees you, but doesn’t see what you want them to. Rate: UNPAID. NON-UNION. IMDb credit.
