And the day after that, and the next thirty years?-Daisy Buchanan-The Great Gatsby Step into the glitz, glamour, and hidden heartache of the Roaring Twenties! We’re bringing F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel to life in the style of a 1930s radio broadcast — complete with vintage microphones, live foley sound effects, and the unforgettable characters of West Egg. Additional information: Location: Aldersyde. Rehearsals: Monday (7 pm-9pm), Wednesday (7 pm - 9 pm), Sunday (1 pm - 4 pm) Tech Week: January 18-22, 2026 Performance Dates (2026): January 23,24,29,30,31 February 5,6,7. Roles and Preparation: Actors will memorize short portions of the play, but the majority of the performance is done as a performed reading with scripts in hand. Several radio jingles will be sung live. Foley artists will perform sound effects live using a variety of props, as done in radio shows. Think of the sound effects added to immersive audiobooks today. Please prepare three distinct adult voices (high-brow to common). Please, see the attachment. If interested, please apply.

The pianist will either perform the score live or be recorded (TBD).
