Performers for 37th annual New Ideas Festival

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Theatre Company is seeking actors for the 37th annual New Ideas Festival. See the details below. Rate: Non-union, non-paying volunteer opportunity. Additional information: A showcase of bold and adventurous one-act plays, NIF facilitates full productions for scripts 10-30 minutes in length. With performances running November 19-30, 2025 in Toronto, this two-week festival features a line-up of eight exciting short works (four presented in Week 1, and four presented in Week 2). NIF provides rehearsal and production space, access to ATC’s costume and props collections, technical support, marketing and publicity. Performers will be required to prepare one monologue of any genre, no more than 2 minutes in length. Audition slots will be booked on a first come, first served basis (with waiting list, if necessary). Early submissions are encouraged. Callback Period: September 12-14 Rehearsal and Tech Periods: September 22-November 18. Performances: November 19-23 (Week 1)/November 26-30 (Week 2).
