Dancer Auditions for "Anything Goes" Show
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Performers wanted for "Anything Goes" production. See the details below. Rate: Rehearsal stipend is $650. Show pay starts at $66 per performance and increases up to $78 per show based on the number of full production runs you have performed at Candlelight. *Serving or other front-of-house opportunities may be available to performers to make additional income. Additional info: Please see the attachment for more details. Everyone should prepare: -A 1-minute vocal selection in the style of the show. -Sheet music with the appropriate key and cuts. An accompanist will be provided. -A 1-minute monologue in the style of the show. -A resume. Must include current phone number and email address. -A current headshot. Dancers should bring: -Character shoes or heels (Heels are preferred for female-presenting dance call). -Tap shoes. Production Calendar Summary: Rehearsals begin March 17th, 2026. Tech begins April 7th, 2026. Preview on April 15th, 2026. Opening on April 16th, 2026. Closing on June 21st, 2026. Shows (5 per week): Thursday - Call at 7pm Friday - Call at 7pm Saturday Mat - Call at 1pm Saturday Eve - Call at 7pm Sunday Mat - Call at 1pm *No show on May 14th. Added Sunday night show on June 14th.* Performers only need to sign up for one audition slot. Those that choose to be seen for a dance call will stay to present their vocal audition and monologue. Callbacks will take place on September 30th by invitation only. Mezzo G3 - Eb5 Charistmatic nightclub singer and former evangelist. A confident, clever, persuasive showstopper. Belt/Mix.
Tenor B3 - G4 A charming general manager for Elisha Whitney, Billy is in love with Hope and must fight to win her. Billy is idealistic and his love for Hope puts him in unfortunate scenarios. Must have a good sense of physical comedy and timing.
Sprano A4 - Bb5 A wealthy, beautiful debutante ingenue. Hope is marrying Evelyn Oakley to preserve her family's social and financial status even though she is in love with Billy. Hope is sweet with a strong sense of morals and duty.
Baritone C3 - G4 Aristocratic fiancé to Hope. A wealthy Englishman that is earnest and gullible. Oakley has a gift of being clueless to anybody's opinion of him.
Tenor Bb3 - Gb4 Public Enemy #13 looking to climb the ladder to Public Enemy #1. An uncomplicated gangster that is wily and driven by ambition without intelligence.
Mezzo A4 - C#5 Moll to Moonface's gangster. Erma is a confident, boisterous, impulsive moll that leans inot flirtation and manipulation to get her way and has a great time while doing it.
Hope's widowed mother, who is concerned with the family social and financial status following the crash. Evangeline spans the distance between refined lady and panic-stricken social outcast.
Baritone C3 - D4 A successful business tycoon and Yale graduate. Elisha's boredom after the push to business success has led him to become a glorious drunk while waiting for life's next spark.
The man in charge of the SS American. While intelligent and capable, Captain is a little too concerned with the prestige of his boat/sailing.
