ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking performers for production of "The War of the Worlds". More details are below. About the play: The well-known classic ‘War of the Worlds’ by H.G. Wells re-imagined into readers theater. Readers theater allows for a particular focus on the vocal expressions and interpretation. Potential to be professionally recorded and produced as a radio show. (If professionally recorded, Actors will be given recordings to use as demos) How would today’s global society react to an invasion from an otherworldly civilization, and how would it cope with the disastrous consequences – both from the actions of the invaders, as well as among ourselves? (Science fiction and horror, created with today’s scientific knowledge and an eye on possible future developments: scientific, social, and otherwise.) Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer.
