Seeking Performers for Upcoming Plays

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting performers for "Popcorn" and "Other Marital Aids" — a double bill of sharp, surreal plays about love, lust, and the absurdity of domestic life. See the detais below. About the project: "Breakfast Scene" by Eric Marlin: René and Georgette Magritte are making breakfast. Outside their kitchen is a cowboy, slowly approaching. Over a few dozen cups of coffee, husband and wife try to avoid discussing their recent infidelities. Actors will explore subtext-heavy dialogue, restraint, and simmering emotional tension. Cautions: Strong language, sexual content. "One Naked Woman and a Fully Clothed Man" by Diana Amsterdam: A married couple sit watching a movie. We are treated to the wife's interior monologue as she watches what she thought was going to be a nice romance but turns out to have too much nudity and sex for her taste. She becomes obsessed with the fact that her husband's prurient interests are aroused. Offers actors the chance to navigate both biting comedy and raw honesty. Cautions: Strong language, sexual content. Additional information: Performing at the Fort McMurray Fringe Festival. Rehearsals: 4-6 rehearsals between August 21 - September 5, 2025.
