Casting two roles for a fast-paced, cinematic launch video with a comedic edge, think The Office meets Silicon Valley, with a touch of satire and fourth-wall-breaking flair. See the details below. Rate: $250 flat (non-union). Additional information: Shoot Date: Monday, August 11th. Call Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (3 hours). Location: Downtown Toronto. Script will be provided once cast is locked. Character vibe: Outdated, arrogant, hilariously out of touch. The kind of guy who still uses a flip phone and sends 15 Slack messages at 10 PM. Think: David Brent meets Michael Scott, but in denial. Want to emanate the appearance of Bill Lumbergh from the Office Space (refer to the pic below) Comedic timing is key. You’ll need to nail a mix of clueless confidence and confused vulnerability when your own employee fires you (yes, really).
Character vibe: Calm, assertive, and lowkey savage. She’s done dealing with her boss’s nonsense. Sharp delivery, subtle sarcasm, and charm are essential. You’ll be sparring with “The Boss” in the opening scene and end up literally thanking your new product for making work… actually fun.
