Theatre Casting Call for "Sherlock Holmes and the Greek Chorus"
Theater Company is holding auditions for the world premiere of "Sherlock Holmes and the Greek Chorus". Seeking actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: In this sharp-witted, laugh-out-loud murder mystery, the cast and crew of Lysistrata are preparing for opening night at the illustrious—but suspiciously accident-prone—Regal Theater, ruled with an iron cane by the pompous autocrat Sir Wedmore Giles. But when "accidents" start turning deadly, it's clear something sinister is afoot backstage. Enter a world-famous sleuth, drawn into the chaos to help the frazzled director uncover the truth before the final curtain falls—on someone else. With a colorful cast of suspects, scandalous motives, and snappy dialogue that blends ancient Greek comedy with modern-day themes like women's rights and power plays, this is one mystery that’s as clever as it is outrageous. Murder, mayhem, and feminism? Now that’s a show worth dying for. Additional info: Please bring a headshot and resume. There will be cold readings from the script. No monologue is required. Rehearsals are August 12 - November 5 (There will be breaks from Sept 9 - Oct 1). Tech week is November 1 -5. Performances are November 7 - 23 (Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30, Sundays at 2 PM).
