About the project: "Silent Sky", by Laura Gunderson, is a play about Henrietta Leavitt, a pioneering female astronomer in the early 20th century, and her work at the Harvard Observatory. The play explores her struggles and triumphs as she strives to make groundbreaking discoveries in a male-dominated field, while also navigating societal expectations and personal relationships. It highlights the contributions of women in science and their fight for recognition. Additional info: Rehearsal schedule: likely Sunday evenings and then three weeknight evenings per week.
