Description:

Auditions for "Sistas" the musical. In need of cast. Please see the details below. About the project: Nominated as “Best New Musical” by The Off Broadway Alliance and recognized as the longest-running African-American musical in New York City as of 2018, SISTAS has captivated audiences with its heart, humor, and showstopping soundtrack. Set in the attic of a family home, the story follows five women as they gather to plan the funeral of the family’s beloved matriarch. Please refrain from auditioning if you are unavailable for August 31 - September 28, 2025. What to prepare: R&B welcome and encouraged or a standard musical theatre selection that demonstrates your range. An excerpt from “Oh Happy Day” will be provided if no music is available. Be prepared to move. Cold readings from the script. Callbacks, if necessary, on July 16. Rehearsals: begin immediately after casting; held 2–3 times per week (including weekends).
