Non Equity auditions for the comedy "Sylvia". Looking for cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. Additional info: Casting 2 men, 3 woman. A dog, maybe a Labradoodle. Street smart and a little flirtatious, she commands every room she enters. The role is physically demanding: the actor will walk as a person but must act like a dog, e.g. “sitting”, “rolling over” and climbing on furniture.
A middle-aged, empty-nester and finance professional who is looking for more meaning in his life. He finds and bonds deeply with Sylvia.
Greg's wife, a public school English teacher who is less enthusiastic about Sylvia and is looking forward to newfound independence as her children leave home.
A man Greg meets at the dog park who offers advice.
A socialite and old school friend of Kate’s. She is put off by Sylvia, to say the least.
Non-Binary - A gender-non-conforming. Marriage counselor whom Greg and Kate consult.
