Singing Audition for "White Christmas" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking singers for musical "White Christmas". More details are below. Additional information: Sunday, August 10: Callbacks 12 noon-4:00 pm Tuesday, September 2: Administration Day (Script pick up, Introductions, costume measurements, etc) 6:30-9:30 pm. Thursday, September 4: First rehearsal 6:30-9:30 pm. Rehearsals are held Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal, but everyone should plan to be available. Rehearsal schedules will be provided in advance; however, they may be adjusted at the director’s discretion. Depending on availability, some performers may be. A major singing star, Bob is the guiding force behind the song and dance team of Wallace and Davis. Despite occasional gruffness, he is a deeply kind and principled man who is searching for true love. Baritone “crooner” (B2-G4 / A4).
The fun-loving song-and-dance partner of the team Wallace and Davis. An irrepressible clown, operator, and incorrigible ladies’ man who has a boyish charm. Baritone-tenor (B2-G4).
Sensible, responsible half of the Haynes sisters act. Classic elegance of quiet beauty and charm with a rich chest mix and soprano extension (Ab3-D5).
Younger, more ambitious and slightly scheming Haynes sister. Wholesome, adorable, and flirty. Strong singer with a chest mix (Ab3-D5).
Retired Army general with a curmudgeonly military exterior, adjusting to retired life. Precise and orderly, a man of integrity. Non-singing.
Once a Broadway star, now the General’s housekeeper. Very dry wit and frank with a wisecracking sense of humor. Broadway belter (F3-C5).
(Able to play a 9-year-old girl) – The General’s granddaughter. Lovable and outgoing. Excellent belt voice (G3-C5).
Jokester Army buddy of Bob and Phil’s, now a major television executive. Fast talking, loud, brash professional with a good head on his shoulders. (E3-D4)
Bob and Phil’s star chorus showgirls. Brash and fun.
Practical, the ultimate laid back New Englander. A man of few words.
Bob and Phil’s Stage Manager. Can be overly dramatic and often hysterical, but gets the job done.
To play assorted speaking roles as well as being a strong singing and dancing ensemble. Dance style is 1950’s Hollywood movie musical style. Understudies for principal roles will come from this ensemble.
