Men and women are welcome to audition for "Legally Blonde the Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world. Additional info: All auditioners will be asked to sing one of the provided music selections and to participate in a dance audition. Please BRING: comfortable shoes (dance shoes, if possible), comfortable and presentable clothing, a water bottle, and a fun attitude! All rehearsal conflicts MUST be communicated on the audition form. Rehearsals will dominantly be held Monday-Thursday 6:30-9:30, and some weekends, but you could be called for any day. ALL conflicts must be listed from July 23rd - September 25th, including weekends. NO SHOWS or Tech Week rehearsals can be missed. Multiple conflicts brought up after casting can result in dismissal from the cast or recasting. This is at the discretion of the production team. (Gb3-G5 Soprano Belt). Elle, Delta Nu sorority girl with a love of fashion and style, follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School in the attempt to win him back. As she works to prove herself to others, Elle realizes her worth extends beyond her pretty face and bubbly personality. Defying the “dumb blonde” stereotype, Elle holds true to her values and challenges the norms of Harvard Law. Female-presenting. This role requires onstage physical intimacy/kiss. (B2-A4 Tenor). Emmett is an intelligent, quirky, sensitive, and personable law student. He takes Elle under his wing and believes in her when it seems that no one else does. (A3-A5 Soprano Belt). - Paulette is the brassy owner of Hair Affair, a local salon. She becomes friends with Elle and longs for a meaningful romance of her own, hopefully with an Irishman. Paulette provides sound advice and companionship to Elle and the two help each other fi nd their way. Female-presenting, all ethnicities. This role requires onstage physical intimacy/kiss. They are stereotypical California sorority girls who admire Elle deeply and will do anything for her. Pilar is the sassy and sensible sorority sister. Margot is the seemingly dim-witted, boy-crazy sorority sister. Serena is the energetic cheerleader sorority sister. Female-presenting, all ethnicities. Must be comfortable with dogs.
