"Fun Home" Musical Show Needs Singers

The company is holding auditions for musical "Fun Home" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Fun Home is a musical theatre adaptation of Alison Bechdel’s 2006 graphic memoir of the same name, with music by Jeanine Tesori, and book and lyrics by Lisa Kron. The story concerns Bechdel’s discovery of her own lesbian sexuality, her relationship with her closeted gay father, and her attempts to unlock the mysteries surrounding his life. It is told in a series of non-linear vignettes connected by narration provided by the adult Alison character. Please note: This musical contains thematic elements of gender identity, suicide, and family abuse. Additional info: Rehearsals and Performances Rehearsals begin September 14. Rehearsals will run Sundays through Thursdays from 7 pm until 10 pm (and longer after set move-in to the Playhouse, October 25). Set strike will be December 6. Evening Performances: November 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29 at 8 pm Matinee Performances: November 16, 22, 23, and 30 at 2 pm Please apply if interested.
