Description:

Actors required for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" show. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box. Additional info: All roles are available and may be double-cast. This is a community theatre production. There will be a participation fee due upon being cast. Virtual audition options are available per request. Callbacks are Sunday, June 29. Rehearsals: June 30th-July 27th, 2025. Tech Rehearsals: June 28th & 29th, 2025. Performances are August 1-3. If you are interested, please apply.
