"First Date" Audition for the Theater

About the project: When Aaron is set up on a blind date with Casey, a casual drink turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner. As the date unfolds, the couple quickly finds that they are not alone on this unpredictable evening when Casey and Aaron's inner critics take on a life of their own when other restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents, who sing and dance them through ice-breakers, appetizers and potential conversational land mines. Can this couple turn what could be a dating disaster into something special before the check arrives? Rate: All actors are paid a flat rate of $500 for this run. Additionally, there is one scheduled tour of First Date scheduled for November 8th. All actors must also be available for this performance date. (actors will be paid an additional $100 for this touring performance) Additional info: Prepare: 16-32 bars of a song that shows you off the best. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided. Bring with You: Sheet Music, Headshot (or just a photo of yourself) and your resume. Video auditions will be accepted. Callbacks: Monday, June 30th - 6:30 - 9:30 pm. Rehearsals will start mid to late August. Specific schedule to be determined by the actors conflicts for that time. Performances: first date will run Monday through Wednesday nights, September 29th through October 23rd. All performances will be at 7:30 pm. If you are interested, please apply.
