About the project: While sitting under a tree, a lonely homeless man, West, meets a curious, dinosaur-obsessed six-year-old kid named Skyler. As the two form an unlikely connection, the homeless man is reminded of the mistakes of his past. As they talk, he gets a moment of peace in his painful life and sees color in the world for the very last time. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Meals and craft service provided. Additional information: Audition Location Self Tapes. Shoot/Performance Date(s) July 10-12, 2025. Shoot/Performance Location(s) Greater Vancouver. Submission Deadline June 20, 2025. When applying, please record a self-tape audition of what you think the characters you are auditioning for would say. Please record this video in landscape style, seated or standing at your discretion, with a medium close-up of yourself. Two takes would be great, but sending in one is also fine. At the end of the video, please include a slate with your name and role preference. Part of the script will be sent out before callbacks. Please also send a resume, a demo reel, and a head shot of yourself, telling them which role you are auditioning for.

A sick homeless man, dying in the park, has already given up his life. He sits under the tree for most of the day, until he meets Skyler. Faced with all those direct and simple questions, he never knows how to answer, but the more they talk, West starts to look back on his life and even sees this beautiful world again. He had made mistakes and lost people he loved in the past.
A protective father, always busy working, but tries his best to give Skyler everything. His kid reminds him of the best side of humanity.
