Seeking Talents for a Short Film
"embrace the messiness in love and connection" is a short film I directed that tells its story without dialogue. It’s a visual project driven by emotion, sound design, and a single song that carries the tone of the entire film (Who Can Be Loved in This World? by Elvis Depressedly). I wanted to create something that feels real and personal—something that captures what people feel but don’t always say. The short film will be shot on the Sony FX30. It focuses on natural performances, facial expressions, and body language. There’s no script for the actors to follow with words—just actions, reactions, and emotion. There is however, a shot list, and the goal was to make something that speaks through energy and atmosphere instead of dialogue.

Expressive and emotionally vulnerable. She shares a deep emotional connection with the male lead, shown through moments of laughter, intimacy, conflict, and disconnection. At times, she’s playful and carefree—throwing grass, laughing in a field, playfully wrestling. Other times, she’s deeply emotional—caught in a shouting match, holding back tears, or frozen in silence. Performance relies on subtle body language and facial expression. Authenticity is important.
