About the project: A soul-stirring, triumphant musical about hope, healing, and the power of sisterhood, The Color Purple follows the journey of Celie, a Black woman in the American South who finds her voice and identity against all odds. Filled with joyous music, powerful storytelling, and unforgettable characters, this show celebrates resilience, love, and liberation. Additional info: Seeking a cast of strong singers, actors & movers. WHAT TO PREPARE: - 32 bars of a gospel, R&B, or musical theatre song that best showcases your vocal ability. (Please bring sheet music. No a cappella auditions.) Pianist provided. - Be prepared to read from the script and learn a brief movement combination. - Bring a headshot/resume if available, and come dressed to move.
