Smart, strong-willed and deeply loyal, Daisy is the emotional anchor of the family. A naturally empathetic individual, she is hardened through the societal pressure of 1950s society, as well as her experience through the story when she is forced to face unnerving truths about her family.

Once a beloved older brother and war hero, Franklin returns from war…changed. He begins warm, endearing and stoic, but becomes distant, haunted, and physically altered – hiding an animalistic secret. Though dangerous, he clings to glimpses of his humanity, especially through memories of family.

An endearing, stern, and devout mother who puts her all into her family as well as her work on the farm ever since Franklin's absence. She is nurturing but emotionally strained – clinging to faith even as fear creeps its way to their quaint little farm.

The family’s father, gruff and stoic, Earl is a man shaped by survival and hardened by his labor. His protectiveness runs deep, but with that becomes suspicious of change and the outside world. Franklin's return opens his heart, though as the story goes on, this may not be the wisest decision.

A cold, calculated government doctor overseeing secretive wartime experiments. He represents the institutional cruelty behind Franklin’s transformation – cloaked in medical jargon, detached rationality, and then the guise of progress.

A career military man with a calm but equally menacing presence. He’s involved in covering up the supernatural nature of Franklin’s condition, and see’s the family as collateral damage in the pursuit of a wartime advancement.

( VOICE ACTOR ) A soldier during the Korean war who is heard through a distant radio, witnessing the indescribable horrors of what seems to be a demon ravaging upon the war field.
