Casting Performers for Upcoming Stage Play
"5 Lesbians Eating Quiche" play calls for 5 female-presenting performers. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: "It's 1956 and The Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are having their annual quiche breakfast. As the assembled widows await the announcement of the society's prize-winning quiche, the unexpected happens! Winner of the 2012 NYC International Fringe Festival as Best Overall Production, 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche is a comedy not for the faint of heart." Additional info: These actors need to be quick witted so improv experience is preferable, though not required, as audience interaction is part of the show. Also, actors must be comfortable kissing fellow actors on stage (an intimacy coach will be present during specific rehearsals) and mild stage combat (a fighting coach will be present during specific rehearsals). President of The Susan B. Anthony Society. The very model of a perfect 1950's woman in speech, manner, and dress. She is a natural leader and the fellow widows worship her.
Events Chairwoman. Very enthusiastic and dedicated to The Susan B. Anthony Society - absolutely disgusted by men. Needs to be quick on her feet as she interacts with the audience. In a secret relationship with Dale Prist.
Historian. One of the youngest members of the group and really wants to be accepted by her fellow widows, due to her troubled past. In a secret relationship with Wren Robin.
Secretary. Relatively new to The Susan B. Anthony Society, she is overly dramatic at times. Loves to take orders and flirt with Vern Schultz. English/Irish accent required.
Building and Grounds Chairman. Very handy, proud of her work, and likes to be dominating - if you know what we mean. Also needs to be quick on her feet as she interacts with the audience. Openly flirts with Ginny Cadbury.
