Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that's anything but Grimm. The original storybook heroines are none-too-happy with the way they've been portrayed in today's pop culture so they've tossed their tiaras and have come to life to set the record straight. Forget the princesses you think you know – these royal renegades are here to comically belt out the truth. Received an "Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical" nomination (Outer Critics Circle Awards) and a "Best New Off-Broadway Musical" nomination (Off Broadway Alliance). Contains adult language and content. (Mezzo-Soprano). Perky, quirky, and overly enthusiastic. She's thrilled to be a real-life princess but is about to realize there's more to life than glass slippers and pretty gowns. Comedic and energetic.
(Mezzo-Soprano). Flippant, unpredictable, and hilarious. A master of physical comedy and the comic foil to Snow White. Loves to dance—often uncontrollably. Must have strong comedic instincts.
(Soprano). A smart, witty bookworm from French lit with a very American voice. Talks to inanimate objects and is losing it cleaning up after her beast of a husband. Dry humor and subtle unraveling required.
(Alto). A grounded, confident warrior of Asian descent with a heartfelt story and a great sense of humor. Balances cultural pride with comedic delivery. Strong presence and connection to heritage emphasized.
(Mezzo-Soprano). Formerly obedient, now wild and rebellious. She gave up her life under the sea and has some thoughts about it. She's raunchy, loud, and the life of the party.
(Alto). Plucky, strong-willed, and sarcastic. She's been glamorized and distorted by pop culture, and she's here to reclaim her story with sharp wit and a powerful message.
(Mezzo-Soprano). A bold, witty Black princess who's been overlooked for way too long. She's confident, clever, and full of one-liners and cultural commentary. Think regal meets stand-up comic.
(Soprano). Big voice, big presence. Brunehildesque, campy, and unapologetically loud. German accent, Mel Brooks-style humor, and a passion for smashing the patriarchy—fairy tale style.
(Mezzo-Soprano). A princess of Middle Eastern or South Asian descent from the Aladdin tales, fed up with being treated as a secondary character. She's sharp, puckish, and owning her story. Misogyny beware—she's rewriting the tale.
