Theater Casting Call for "Bruised Fruit" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking performers to portray roles in production of "Bruised Fruit". Please, see the details below. About the play: Bruised Fruit is a coming of age, slice of life dramedy following four teenagers during their weekly physiotherapy sessions. Together, they find family in each other and navigate their growing pains, both physical and emotional. Rate: Non-Union. Volunteer project. Additional information: AUDITION LOCATION Online. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) August 23rd and 24th. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S) Surrey. There is no stage combat or other stunts in this show, there is a near-kiss between Mike and Audrey but no actual contact. Read-through and character building rehearsals Sundays or Mondays July 6-14th, in person rehearsals Mondays and Wednesdays July 21st-August 20th. Rehearsal schedule is flexible, dependent on actor availability. Tech/Dress Rehearsal: August 22nd, 5-9pm. Performances: August 23rd, 7pm and August 24th, 2pm in Surrey. They/them. A painter with a brittle sense of humor, has back pain, and is frustrated at their lack of control over their own medical decisions.
He/him. Perpetually injured, a bit reckless, the groups’ token straight guy, sometimes puts his foot in his mouth.
She/her. A lacrosse player with a broken leg, the closet is glass, a bit awkward and shy at first, but finds herself at home with the group.
