About the project: Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, Annie has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The beloved book and score by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, features some of the greatest musical theatre hits ever written, including "Tomorrow."With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Additional info: Please bring in sheet music for a prepared 16 bars (or under a minute) musical theater song. An accompanist will be provided. Directors will also accept pre-recorded instrumental music that can connect to a bluetooth speaker. Unaccompanied singing is not preferred. Directors expect that your vocal and movement performances will also demonstrate your storytelling and acting abilities! A video audition option, while not preferred, will be available. Callbacks will be on Monday, August 11 from 6pm - 9pm. You will be notified by email if you are called back for a specific character by August 31st. Please review the materials for each role you are called back for. Performances will take place in the Journey Theater at 4173 Bludau Drive, Warrenton, VA from November 7-16th, 2025. There are six total performances, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:00 PM and Sunday Matinée shows at 2:30 PM. Tickets for reserved seating are available via the Triune Entertainment Website at www.triuneentertainment.com. You'll receive your performance materials at a meet & greet evening a few days after casting. Rehearsals will begin the third week in August. You will not be required at every rehearsal. Directors will try to work with your schedules and respect your time as much as possible. Most rehearsals will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Directors will try not to have children at rehearsals past 9pm. During the final two weeks prior to the production, you should expect to be called every week night and on Saturdays.
