Auditions for "We Need to Do Something" show. Looking for cast. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: "We Need to Do Something" is based on the hit book by Max Booth III, now adapted for the stage (also by Max Booth III)! Seeking shelter from a storm, a family finds themselves trapped in a bathroom for days with no sign of rescue and untold evils lurking just beyond the walls. Rate: All roles are paid a $200 stipend or profit-share, whichever is larger. Additional info: Rehearsals will take place Wednesdays to Saturdays from June 4 - August 21st. We can accommodate some conflicts and not every actor will be called to the entirety of every rehearsal. Tech Week will take place August 25th - August 28th in the evening. Performances will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening August 29 - 31 and September 5 - 7 in the evenings. These dates are required and we cannot accommodate conflicts. Content warning: The play mentions themes such as suicide, self harm, domestic abuse, and there are depictions of child endangerment. Performers do not need to prepare materials for auditions, both auditions and callbacks will consist of cold reads from the script.
