The company is holding auditions for "James and the Giant Peach" show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: There is no need to prepare anything for your audition! Directors will be asking actors to read from the script and will provide sides at you audition. One of James's cruel aunts. Tall, thin, and sharp-tongued. She is mean-spirited, greedy, and obsessed with appearances. Comedic villain. Great role for a performer who enjoys physical comedy and big character choices.
James’s other horrible aunt. Short, plump, and gluttonous. She’s loud, lazy, and equally as greedy. Another over-the-top villainous role with plenty of comedic opportunities
Wise, kind, and musical. A refined, elder figure who plays music by rubbing his legs. A mentor to James and voice of reason among the insects. Good role for someone with a calm presence and clear vocal delivery.
Boisterous, cocky, and comedic. He brags constantly about his many boots and enjoys teasing others. Has a big personality and is a physical, energetic role with comedic timing.
Nervous, pessimistic, and sarcastic. Earthworm is the worrier of the group, often dramatic but ultimately brave. Comedic role with dry wit. Great for a performer who can balance humor with heart.
Smart, elegant, and nurturing. Creative and protective, using web-spinning skills to help the group. A warm, maternal figure toward James. Good role for someone who can balance gentleness and strength.
Gentle, optimistic, and kind. Ladybug is parental, nurturing, polite, and refined. She brings a sense of calm and grace to the group. A warm and supportive presence on stage.
Quiet and helpful. Glow-Worm lights the peach from within and later helps light up the Empire State Building. Minimal lines but an important and magical presence.
