Talent Needed for "Dark Clover!" Stage Play
The company is holding auditions for the brand new superhero play, Dark Clover! and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: Back in 2017, we started a shared comic book universe(based around some of the stories I had written over the years) starting with Electric man. From there we brought Fiona Lelio in 2018, Panoramic in 2019 and the superhero team up The Safeguard society in 2019. All were sucessful show playing to sold out crowds. During the pandemic, I started writing Dark Clover and after a few years of trying to find the right time. We are thrilled to bring this universe back August 13 and 14 at Seattle Open Arts Place(formerly 18th and Union) Dark clover is a dark story, murder, gaslighting, trauma are big things we tackle in this play. Thora Lundgren is our hero going by the superhero name Dark Clover, she is seeking vengeance for trauma and to find those responsible for taking her sister and killing her parents as well as attempting to kill her. Sienna Crawford has the power of touch which without proper protection can kill someone. During her childhood and the accidental murder of her parents she was adopted by the Lundgrens before their own tragedy. She is like a sister to Thora but as the play goes along, a rift is created and she becomes Bleak..
The Matriarch of the Circus of Chaos, she is a snake charmer who always dreamed of having children/ After a deal with dark forces, she and the rest of the Circus of Chaos take one child from a family and attempt to brainwash them. The rest of the family is left for dead. She has darkness in her heart and unleashes snake poison on her victims.
Billy Watson was the first to be recruited into the Circus the first to truly embrace the chaos. His love of clowns influences his painted face. As time went on, he become the person who could brainwash the kids the best. With his clown like charm, he takes on the role of big brother. Will be wearing either clown makeup or a clown mask most of the show.
Vlad and his younger brother Boris, were life long friends of the Butlers and acted as the muscle. Neither speaks much. The actor cast will play both roles. The actor cast will also play some ensemble roles when not playing this role.
Astrid Lundgren is the younger sister of our main character Thora Lundgren and is the child taken by the Circus of Chaos. She is full of life and loves clowns. Most scenes she is going to be the age of 5 or 6(but we will hire an adult actor) When she pops up towards the end of the play she will be older. The actor will also play some ensemble roles when not playing Astrid
The love interest of sorts for Thora. Growing up together, Silas had a zest for life and had a crush on Thora. His father is a millionaire and C.E.O of the Iguana Corporation. He is confident, good looking, good sense of humor but you can tell he doesn't see his father much. Think Harry Osborn in Spider-Man or Oliver queen in Green Arrow.
Shadow is the name she goes by as she had her memory mostly wiped by a super villain in the past and has not regained most of her memories. She is there the day Thora is shot and helps to save her and guides her on her journey as Dark Clover. She is a former superhero herself. She is telepathic and has visions.
Lepine Fifita was is a former cop,whose family was killed by the Circus of Chaos and his daughter taken too. A recovering alcoholic, he is there the night the tragedy happens to Thora and ends up adopting her. He has a past he isn't proud of but he has a lot of love in his heart and will fight for his family
