Lead. Tough, strong minded and a fighter. Now the man of the house after his dad got incarcerated. Shareef is navigating grief after losing his best friend, loss of passion for doing what he loves (ART), poor finances and wanting to turn to the streets for fast money as well as his old love interest returning home after abandoning him with little to no explanation. MUST KNOW HOW TO ROLLER SKATE!
Lead – The next up and coming filmmaker/animator juggling the lines of procrastination and determination. Amir is the level-headed one of his friend group, always trying to keep them out of trouble. He comes from a loving two parent household and is aware of that privilege so he tries to appease his father but their vision for his future doesn’t align. MUST BE ABLE TO ROLLER SKATE!
Supporting– A charismatic bad boy with a sharp edge. Terrence is a loyal friend and a product of his environment. Street-smart, charming, and rough around the edges, he’s the kind of person you shouldn’t underestimate. Looking for a natural, grounded performance.
Supporting, The villain. There’s nothing good about him, everything he touches he wants to destroy. You see him walking, you should go the other way, and he has a way of manipulating people to get what he wants. A real bad boy.
Supporting. Skylar is entering her freshman year of law school. Beautiful, smart, and strong-spirited, she carries herself with confidence and purpose. She’s navigating two worlds — the one she comes from and the one she’s trying to break into. Must bring depth, vulnerability, and fire. Must be comfortable kissing and being intimate on screen.
Supporting. Single mother trying to raise two boys after their father gets incarcerated. She knows when to be stern, loving, motivational, etc. Most of all she’s very empathetic and a realist.
Supporting, Currently incarcerated. He remains a strong presence in his son’s life through frequent phone calls to ensure his son stays on the ‘right’ path. Determined to keep his son from repeating his mistakes.
Supporting. Kayzar’s brother and family man. Strong-willed, outspoken, and well-connected. He’s a businessman who knows how to move in office spaces as well as the streets. He now feels responsible for making sure Kayzar’s sons don’t follow in their father’s footsteps.
Supporting, Amir’s father. A hardworking barber and the unshakable head of his household. He’s wise, protective, and firm, with a heart grounded in love and tradition. Must embody strength and subtle emotional layers.
Supporting, Amir’s mother. The matriarch of her family. She keeps the peace while keeping their lives in order.
Supporting– Business owner, jovial down to earth and a pillar of the community. He is Skylar’s father and a role model for the youths throughout the neighborhood.
Supporting. He may come off as an asshole, but his heart is in the right place. He may not always agree with his partner, but he always supports him.
Supporting. One of the good ones. He’s worked as a Detective for the last 5 years and always tries to do the right thing. He has a way of getting through to people and always goes above and beyond for his cases.

Day Player, Father navigating life with an autistic son, experiences taking him to the barbers for the first time.
Day Player– Lamar is a regular guy trying to defend his honor against a rowdy wife who causes chaos at the barbershop in front of the guys.
Lamar’s wife. She embraces her femininity, but do not piss her off! She’s a hustler; it shows in her attire.
Supporting. Amir’s girlfriend. She’s cute, She’s fun, and usually she’s the life of the party. She wants everyone around her to have fun and she’s very supportive of Amir and his dreams. Looking for a natural performance.
Supporting, The jump off. She’s a little thirsty and petty is her middle name. She comes off as sweet, but if she doesn’t get her way she can be real nasty.
Supporting, The sweet old lady. She may be hard of hearing, but she will always make sure you’re fed and taken care of.
Supporting, – The hottest rapper in the city. His energy is high and his presence always demands your attention. He’s a man of the people and showing love to the city is all he cares about.
Day Player. Terrence’s girl…for the night that is. She has a strong sex appeal and we only see her in a car.
Supporting, The homie. Real thorough guy, Shareef and Amir’s only real competition on the floor. They all have a mutual respect for each other.
Supporting, The other homie. A part of DJ’s crew. A respectable guy. Second best skater in his crew.
Supporting, She works at the skate rental and always has the biggest attitude. She loves the perks of the job, but hates the actual job.
Supporting, Cool old head who always looks out for the boys.
