Casting Call for 'Happy Birthday' Horror Short Film
Casting call for “Happy Birthday”, a psychological horror short film. Shooting will take place June 14th. Actors must be comfortable expressing extreme emotion and with simulated violence. Travel to and from shoot will be covered by production team.
4 roles
18-22 years old. Goth/alternative aesthetic. Sharp-witted but emotionally guarded. Must be capable of expressing panic, guilt, and desperation under extreme duress. Note: Heavy emotional scenes and panic attacks required.
Age 22-26. Emily's older sister. Polished, sarcastic, and a bit of a control freak. Must be able to deliver intense emotional breakdowns and physical distress (minor physical effects - fake blood, taped mouth, etc.).
Aged 40-60. Corny, affectionate, the family's camcorder-wielding memory maker. Must be comfortable with simulated facial injury makeup and staged violence.
Aged 40-50. Warm, maternal, nurturing. The quintessential suburban mom. Must be comfortable with simulated physical violence (fight choreography, bruised makeup, etc.).
