Singers for "Broadway Miscast" Musical Revue

Open auditions for "Broadway Miscast" a CWP Black Box Musical Revue. Seeking cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the details below. About the project: Join these Broadway’s greatest hits, performed by great singers who absolutely do NOT “fit” the role as originally written. From start to finish, this high energy musical revue will surprise and delight you at every turn. Rate: This is a non-paid opportunity. Additional info: No experience is necessary. Headshots and resumes are encouraged but not required. What to Prepare: Please prepare approximately one minute of a musical theatre song that showcases your range and acting skills. There's a catch: Your song must belong to a character that would NOT normally be possible for you to be cast as. Please bring an mp3 track or youtube karaoke track cued up on your phone/smart device. No A CAPPELLA or sheet music auditions. An accompanist will NOT be provided. You may audition as a soloist or perform a duet with another auditioner. Rehearsals: The exact rehearsal schedule is to be determined, but rehearsals are usually 2-3 days per week, mostly weekday nights, but there may be rehearsals on Saturdays in the daytime and/or Sundays in the evening. Weekday evening rehearsals generally begin at 7 p.m. and can last as late as 10 p.m. (possibly later during tech week) Sunday evening rehearsals generally begin at 6 p.m. and can last as late as 10 p.m. Not all cast members will be called to every rehearsal. This production will require significant work on your songs OUTSIDE of rehearsals. There will be a total of approximately 15-20 rehearsals for this production, plus tech week. The rehearsal schedule intensifies as opening night draws closer. Tech week rehearsals often run later into the evening. Tech Week: July 21st - 24th, 2025. Performers MUST be available for all tech week rehearsals and all performances. There are no exceptions! PRODUCTION DATES: July 25th - August 3rd, 2025. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Sundays at 2 p.m. Call time for all performers on performance dates is 1 hour prior to showtime. If you are interested, please apply.
