"Matilda" Musical in Need of Performers
Seeking cast for "Matilda" show. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: "Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher Miss Honey. During her first term at school, the two forge a bond as Miss Honey begins to recognize and appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves to punish those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!" Additional info: Auditionees should prepare a brief excerpt (32 bars max) of a song in the style of the show. Please place your sheet music in a three-ring binder. Bring your binder for provided accompanist. Dance callbacks: Saturday, May 17th, 2PM-5PM. Invited read callbacks: Sunday, May 18th, 1-4PM. Rehearsals are typically Monday through Thursday 6:00-8:30 pm and Saturdays from 2:00-4:30 pm. Performances are scheduled September 12-21. If you are interested, please apply.
