6 roles
Lead role, a street-wise - unemployed steel worker, who is always looking for a way to make some fast money. He is divorced and is not allowed to see his son until he pays up his overdue child support. He stumbles across a "Chippendales" show at a local club and is inspired to stage his own strip show to make some money and regain access to his son.
Also an unemployed steel worker, Dave is Gaz's best friend, who reluctantly goes along with Gaz's schemes. He is married but is convinced that his wife is cheating on him and she no longer finds him attractive. Dave has weight issues.
A suicidal, friendless, security guard, who despite his dark cloud is actually quite charming and is quickly "adopted" by Gaz and Dave. Lomper is gay.
A physical wreck of a man who, surprisingly, has great dance moves. And a totally "inappropriate" nickname.
A body-builder dancer who impresses his way into the group with the size of his manhood. Though we never see it. Guy is also Gay and develops an interest in Lomper.
Former boss at the steel mill, now unemployed like the rest of the men, though he has never told his wife that he is unemployed. She spends money like there is no tomorrow, which gives him endless stress. He is good dancer, and despite his initial reluctance becomes their "choreographer." Gaz, Dave and Gerald are the bigger roles (most lines). Lomper, Horse and Guy are smaller roles (with less lines) but very important.
