A Navy veteran, now working as a contracting officer for his old service. He is DEIRDRE's uncle, her mother being SELBY's sister. SELBY is married, after a fashion, but his wife HUNTER doesn't live with him.
Married to SELBY, but not living with him. She is DRACEY's sister.
A gentleman farmer, old Southern Maryland gentry, HUNTER's brother, a fellow-veteran of SELBY's. A widower.
Father of KIBUKA, lover of DEIRDRE when in town, a career civil rights worker.
