Casting Performers for "Bye Bye Birdie" Show
"Bye Bye Birdie" show seeking cast. See more info below. About the project: Synopsis: When the draft selects rockstar Conrad Birdie, his fans are devastated, but none more devastated than his manager, Albert Peterson. His girlfriend and secretary, Rosie, believes that it’s a good thing and that it’s the perfect way for Albert to leave the music industry and become an English teacher like he always wanted. They decide to send off Conrad with “One Last Kiss,” picking a Conrad Birdie fangirl in the country to be that last kiss. They pick Kim MacAfee, a young girl in Sweet Apple, Ohio who just got pinned to her high school boyfriend, Hugo Peabody. Kim, who’s going steady, believes that she is more of a woman than all of her friends and peers and should be treated as such and leave the Conrad Birdie fan club… that is until Almaelou records call and asks if she would like to be the lucky girl that gets to kiss Conrad Birdie goodbye. A fiasco occurs when Albert’s controlling mother joins him on this sendoff to try and get him to stay in the company while Rosie deals with being pushed aside and her frustration with Albert and his mother only grows. Hugo Peabody is jealous of Kim giving all of her attention to Conrad and Kim gets frustrated with him. Kim’s parents are concerned with her and chaos ensues at the “goodbye kiss” ceremony.
