Seeking Performers for "Stand" Show
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are looking for actors for "Stand" show. Please, see the details below. About the show: STAND is an immersive theater experience where the audience and actors create the story together. The show runs for about 60 minutes, with the audience sitting in a circle. The line between "stage" and "seats"—between fiction and reality - gradually dissolves. It begins with the question: What is a stage? What separates "here" from "there"? Actors weave together personal stories and old folktales, drawing audience members into the story. Eventually, the characters reflect on a grandmother who has passed away and suggest making her favorite food: miso soup. This is where the audiences become participants. Everything is performed in pantomime, but when an actor hands someone an "onion," the audience member instinctively reaches out to take it. Together, they mime chopping, stirring, and serving, and in the end, everyone joins in to say itadakimasu before tasting the invisible soup. You can't see it, but somehow... it feels like you really can taste it. That shared moment - fragile, strange, and beautiful - is the heart of STAND. Rate: Non-Union. Great exposure at the Fringe Festival. This is currently a volunteer project. Compensation will be provided based on ticket sales and funding availability.
