The company is holding auditions for “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde and looking for performers, please see the details below Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring resume and headshot (if you have one). Actors will be required to use RP British (Received Pronunciation), aka Queen’s English. Aka “Ernest”, a wealthy young gentleman who takes life seriously, and a friend to Algernon. Cecily's guardian, in love with Gwendolyn.
Brilliant, witty, and selfish. The nephew of Lady Bracknell, cousin to Gwendolyn, in love with Cecily.
Aristocratic, charming, superficial. Algernon’s cousin, Lady Bracknell’s daughter, in love with Jack.
Romantic, silly, appealing. Jack is her guardian. She is drawn to Algernon for his wickedness.
Domineering , cunning, mercenary, and snobbish. Gwendolyn’s mother.
The rector of Jack’s estate, and has a crush on Miss Prism.
,Prim, rigid puritanist with a soft side. Cecily’s governess, and author of one novel.
Lane is Algernon’s manservant, and Merriman is Jack’s butler. May be played by the same actor.
