Young Actors Required for Musical "Matilda"

Auditions for summer youth musical "Matilda". Looking for cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the details below. Additional info: Directors will hold auditions on a first come, first served basis. You should not have to stay during the whole audition window. For auditions, you will be asked to do the following: 1. Sing roughly 1 minute of a musical theatre song, ideally one sung by the character you're auditioning for. Unless you bring your own track and play it on your phone, singing auditions will be a capella. Directors will also test your vocal range by asking you to sing scales along with the piano. 2. Read a scene from the show. These do NOT need to be memorized. They will have copies of the sides at auditions. 3. Perform a dance audition taught by the choreographer at auditions. If needed callbacks will be held April 27th from 3-6. Rehearsals will begin May 27 and will be Monday-Friday from 1-4. Tech week will be July 6- 10th from 5-9. The show runs July 11-13 and July 18-20. If you are interested, please apply.
