So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow— but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens and the result is love that brings them all together. Tech Rehearsals – November 23rd, 25th, 26th (off November 24th). Dress Rehearsal – November 27th. Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Fridays 7 - 10 PM. Sundays 1 - 5 PM. Beginning Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025. No rehearsal Sunday, October 12th, 2025. Auditions: Call Backs: Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at 1 PM Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 1 PM. Monday, April 7th, 2025 at 7 PM. Auditions and rehearsals held in Georgetown, ON. You will be notified by phone by April 9th if you are required for a call back. PLEASE NOTE: Not all roles will require call backs. Directors will only call back those they need to see again. However, if call backs are required for a role you are interested in, you must be available for the call back be considered for the role. Casting decisions will be made following the call backs. All those who auditioned will receive the results of their auditions by April 17th. Those who have been cast will receive results by phone. (Female Presenting) A current Broadway diva. A huge ego to match her huge talent. No filter. Hilariously self-involved, but yearns to do something good for someone other than herself. Strong Singer. Big, Broadway belter; alto.
(Male Presenting) A pretentious Broadway star who is probably better known for TV infomercials. Loves the sound of his own voice. Strong singer, pop and legit; baritone.
(Female Presenting) To play a high school senior. Mix/belt up to a C#. Forced into the spotlight because she asked her girlfriend to the prom. A reluctant poster child for gay/lesbian youth. Very smart. A bit of a tomboy quality. Sweet pop voice. Strong singer.
(Female Presenting) To play a high school senior, Mix/belt up to a D. Tries desperately to fit in. A cheerleader. Secretly Emma's girlfriend, but afraid to come out. Afraid to stand up to her mother. Pop voice. Strong singer.
(Male Presenting) A small town principal. Easily flustered. A Broadway enthusiast. Good singer; high baritone.
(Female Presenting) An ensemble member in the Broadway production of “Chicago”. Jaded Fosse girl with a heart of gold. Strong Singer/Dancer; alto with a belt.
(Female Presenting) Alyssa's Mother and the school board president. Very strong, controlling and intimidating. Loves her daughter very much but has a very specific view of what is "right" and "wrong" for her daughter and the school. Alto.
