About the project: A two-act revival of Harvey Fierstein’s award-winning Torch Song Trilogy – the life of Arnold Beckoff, a torch song-singing drag queen living in New York City, is dramatized over the span of the late 70s and 80s. Told with a likable, human voice, Torch Song follows Arnold’s odyssey to find happiness in New York. All he wants is a husband, a child, and a pair of bunny slippers that fit, but a visit from his overbearing mother reminds him that he needs one thing more: respect. Rate: All actors will receive a $100 travel stipend as well as $40 per performance. Additional info: Please prepare a 1- to 2-minute modern comedic monologue. Please bring photo, resume, and conflicts for March - May. Callbacks: Sunday, March 16th - 6:00 - 9:00 pm REHEARSALS: Will start the week of April 14th.
