About the project: The Silent Crisis is a socially impactful and emotionally gripping short film that addresses the systemic neglect faced by Black families when their children go missing. The story follows Marcus and Aisha Brooks, two parents desperately searching for their missing teenage son, Elijah. Their journey highlights the stark disparities in media coverage and law enforcement response based on race. This film is more than entertainment; it is a call to action for equity, awareness, and compassion when children of color go missing. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: Filming will start on 04/26/2025 and end on 5/1/2025 in Newport News, Virginia. The casting deadline is Saturday, February 22, 2025, at @11:59PM.
